- Who needs a website? -

Great question.
Here is a little list of some of the people that could benefit from having an online presence.
If you find yourself in this list, or think of a category we haven't mentioned, then you probably should create a site.

Business Owner / Operator

  • Small Business Owner
  • Independent Contractor
  • Store Operator
  • Restauranteur
  • Web Basics Instruction

Artistically Minded / Indie

  • Musician
  • Photographer
  • Graphic Artist
  • Hobbyist
  • DJ

Service Personnel / Assistant

  • Massage Therapist
  • Home or Business Cleaning
  • Google Stuff
  • Graphic Design
  • Pet Services

- But I already advertise elsewhere. -

Good, as this is very important. It also should go hand in hand with the next generation of consumers and patrons.

Advertising in many of yesterdays traditional methods will always have a degree of success. The Yellow Pages, word-of-mouth, existing clients, hand bills or flyers, all positive parts to an existing business, now, if you think about how you find information these days, ask yourself this.

Do you really use the Yellow Pages? (I use mine, to support a weak shelf.)

Do you read the barrage of flyers you get in the mail?

You may very well ask a friend what they like, or where they would go, but more ofter than not, these days you will search the internet.

- I don't think I can afford to setup or operate a site. -

I felt this way too.
I thought that I was going to need a whole team of 'experts' to get me online and it was going to cost a fortune.
In reality, you can get online with a basic web presence for the equivalent of about $1 per Day, annually.
Of course the more you expect in return the more you may need to put into the design of the site, the upkeep, the 'Google Stuff' and related extras.

I have spoken to numerous people about this exact topic and one common remark always pops up,

"My business is already established so I don't need a website."

It's hard to argue with such logic but when I ask them how do customers find you the same answer again, seems to he heard.

"I have existing clients and they tell their friends."

Simplicity, is the ultimate sophistication. - Leonardo da Vinci
